R -v- Miah, Central Criminal Court (Landmark ruling in baby shaking murder prosecutions)

The Defendant was charged with the murder of her 8 month old baby. The Defendant was acquitted of murder and manslaughter.



R -v- Anantharaja, Central Criminal Court (Gangland murder)

Defendant charged in an alleged gang-related murder and attempted murder trial involving Tamil gangs in the Eastham area of London. Important cross-jurisdiction issues of law and admissibility arose during the trial as the Defendant was extradited from Sri Lanka prior to being tried in the UK.



R -v- Lubango, Central Criminal Court (Murder - stabbing)

R -v- Pham, Central Criminal Court (Murder)

Defendant was charged with 6 others in relation to a murder within a Vietnamese drugs gang. He was the only one acquitted of murder and manslaughter. The case revolved around a number of complex forensic and evidential issues such as anonymity of witnesses.



R -v- Dhaqane, Central Criminal Court (Murder)

Defendant charged with two other co-defendants for murder by fatal stabbing. The case turned on witness accounts from over a half dozen witnesses present at the time of the stabbing. The defendant was acquitted of murder, manslaughter and S.18 Grievous Bodily Harm.

Widely publicised Greenford murder. The husband was alleged to have been involved in a plot to kill his wife in this honour killing case.

Case revolved around the well publicised "CostCutters" drive by shooting in South London. Case investigated by Operation Trident and the defendant was charged with murder allegedly in connection with a retaliation shooting.

The Defendant was charged with his father's murder when the Police discovered his father's body was buried in the back garden. The Defendant was acquitted of murder and manslaughter.

R -v- Kuci, Central Criminal Court (Conspiracy to murder)

Defendant was charged with conspiracy to murder. Crown alleged the defendant, a youth, was part of conspiracy to carry out a vicious attack in retaliation based around family honour, after the victim was known to have a friendship with a Muslim married woman. The brutal attack consistsed of sulphuric acid being poured on the victim leaving him with severe injuries. The Defendant was acquitted of Conspiracy to murder.



R -v- Venclovas, Cambridge Crown Court (Murder and kidnapping)

Ongoing case involving allegations of the kidnap and murder of a woman by her husband. The Defendant was extradited to the UK from Lithuania to face trial.



R -v- Shafique, Sheffield Crown Court (Conspiracy to murder - contract killing)

Crown brought a case against the Defendant & others of being part of a joint enterprise forming the necessary intent to commit murder which resulted in the victim being shot dead. Crown alleged previous history and bad feeling was a clear motive for the subsequent shooting and murder of the deceased

R -v- Zaidie and Abbas, Kingston Crown Court (Counterfeit medicine fraud)

Multi-million pound global conspiracy to distribute counterfeit pharmaceuticals.One of the largest MHRA prosecutions and a Very High Cost Case.

Lloyds PR Solicitors represented two defendants in the trial, securing an acquittal for one and a suspended sentence for the other. The principal defendant received a custodial term of four years.

Multi-million pound fraud carried out worldwide through notorious "Dark Market" website. Joint investigation by SOCA, FBI and US secret Service. Investigation and surveillance includes the US Secret Service, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA).
